We love flowers. We love pets. And we know that sometimes those two things need a little extra consideration.
If you're concerned about your pet getting into your flowers, we can create a pet-friendly arrangement using a limited selection of flowers generally considered non-toxic to pets. Let us know when you order and we'll take it from there.

Our regular arrangements are built around the best flowers and ingredients available to us, which means they can include a wide range of seasonal blooms, foliage, branches and unexpected little treasures.
Pet-friendly designs work a little differently. We'll work within a more limited floral palette and choose ingredients with pet safety in mind. Because availability changes with the seasons, your arrangement may look quite different from the photos on our website. But it will still be beautiful, lush and very Cedarhouse!
what does “pet-friendly” mean?
We use the term pet-friendly intentionally.
Our florists are flower people, not veterinarians, and we can't guarantee that any arrangement is completely risk-free for every animal. Pets can have individual sensitivities, and we can't verify every flower's growing, treatment, handling or transport history.
Even flowers generally considered non-toxic can cause stomach upset if eaten. For that reason, we always recommend keeping fresh flowers and floral water out of reach of curious pets, even when you've requested a pet-friendly arrangement.
If your pet has a known allergy or sensitivity, please consult your veterinarian about which flowers are appropriate for your home.
a special note for cat people
If you share your home with a cat, lilies deserve particular attention.
True lilies (Lilium species) and daylilies (Hemerocallis species) can be extremely dangerous to cats. All parts of these plants can be toxic, including the flowers, leaves, stems and pollen, and even vase water can pose a concern.
When making a pet-friendly arrangement, we will not intentionally include true lilies or daylilies.
For a broader reference, the ASPCA maintains information about flowers and plants that are toxic or generally considered non-toxic to pets. Their list is a helpful starting point, but it isn't a substitute for advice from your veterinarian.

Easy. When placing your order, add a note in the special instructions window asking for a pet-friendly arrangement.
You don't need to tell us what pets you have or provide any additional information. If you're concerned about your flowers, simply let us know and we'll use our best judgment within the flowers available to us that day.
